Summertime!

The summer weather has finally arrived. This weekend we met Doug and Missie for drinks at the Regatta in Fall River and celebrated my dad's retirement with family and friends. Today, I took a motorcyle ride with Tony, Sandy, Joey and Lisa (on her new bike!!). We went out to Francis Farm so those guys could see it. Only 27 days til the wedding.

Wedding Update-Yikes!

Okay. 30 days til the wedding.

I had a scare earlier this week when my the Christmas Tree Shop called to say that "the frames you ordered don't come in the colors you requested." That wouldn't be so bad except that I didn't order frames, I ordered pails for the centerpieces! Luckily, Paula at the customer service desk was able to get the correct order placed....keeping Bridezilla at bay.

At least until 20 minutes ago when the favors arrived! I open the box hoping to see our names and instead there is the name, phone number and web address for a law firm in Atlanta, GA!!!!!!
Supposedly, Fed Ex will be coming to pick up the box I have and also picking up my order from the nice folks in Georgia who have my wedding favors so that a swap can be made.

I need to go downstairs and iron my dress but I fear that the iron may spontaneously combust!

Kate's New Ride

I took the motorcycle course with Lisa back in May and recently bought an 02 Honda Rebel. I am having fun learning to ride. It is very scary but exciting at the same time. This weekend, we took a ride up to Brockton Cycles with Tony and Lisa. Lisa just bought a bike so now we can all ride together this summer. I have taken the bike to work a few times and have taken a couple of fun rides. So far, I have tried the highway once....not my favorite.
