Wedding Update- Sneak Peak at the Invite Insert

The Hampton Inn in Raynham, MA will be our home base for the wedding weekend. They are offering a discounted rate on rooms for our guests. Let them know you are part of the Burke/Boaz wedding when you call 1-508-822-6222.

Friday night we are hosting a trip to the Pawtucket Red Sox game. There will be a bus leaving the Hampton Inn at 4:30pm for the game. If you would like to join us for the game please call Kate ASAP (508-737-4520) as there are only 45 seats on the bus. We expect to return to the Hampton Inn around 11:00pm. We will likely meet anyone who is up for drinks at Chili’s, next to the hotel.

Saturday morning we will be offering a shuttle bus from the Hampton Inn to Francis Farm. We encourage anyone who plans to drink to take the bus. The bus will make multiple trips between 10 and 11 am. The bus will then return guests to the hotel between 4 and 6 pm.

The Hampton Inn offers a complimentary buffet breakfast in the mornings. We plan to greet guests at breakfast Sunday morning. We hope you will be there for the send off, as we head to California for our honeymoon.

Please call us if you have any questions. We look forward to seeing you!

Sunroom construction had begun

Our friend Mark and his crew got started on our sunroom today. The plan to replace the sliders, the windows and lighten up the decor. Hopefully as it starts to get warm we'll have a nice screened in room for sipping gin and tonics. Check back for updated photos.

Bruins Game

Tom and I met up with Joe and his friend, Doug, at the Garden for the Bruins game last night. They won 3-2. We enjoyed friendly smack talk with Doug, who is an Atlanta Thrashers fan. After the game we found Jon in JP. He had just returned from Los Angeles, where he will be moving in April. Fun times, as always, hanging with my brothers.

Headed to the movies? I just got home from seeing "Eight Below."  Okay, Disney movie, but not just for kids. What a powerful story, beautiful scenery (sure made winter here look like a walk in the park).  No guns, violence, nudity or swearing.....but probably one of the most enjoyable movies I have seen in while. Not for young kids as there are a few scary parts....but I highly recommend it. It also brought back alot of memories from growing up with Siberian Huskies....check it out! Kate
